From the EditorBeen rewording my Mr Idea's Ebookstore site. Most of the changes are transparent to the user but have resulted in a common look and feel to the pages. I have updated the pages, menu, header and footer for the pages, as well as adding some new products and deleting some older ones. I reclassified many products and added and deleted categories as well as adding keywords to every page. Whew! Quite a job for a week when my access to the Internet was limited. A new giveaway has just started and runs only for 10 days. Be among the first to get the free gifts. Check it out at Free Giveaway Just a reminder that the great giveaway is in progress, but not for long. All kinds of very valuable products are available, if you will part with your email address. Check it out now HERE. Marketing Techniques Compendium Part 1Article MarketingWrite articles on subjects that relate to your niche and which you have superior knowledge. Every article must contain quality content and be free from spelling and grammatical errors. Great articles, well distributed, will deliver targeted traffic to your website. Traffic ExchangesThis has never been one of my favourite traffic generators. The principle is simple. You visit other peoples’ websites, and they reciprocate by visiting yours. In order for the operator to make money, It’s not a one-to-one relationship. On an average, you need to visit between two and ten websites to get one visit to yours. Most of your visitors will be website owners that are just clicking to build credits, so even though you may get many visits, it is unlikely that you will get many sales. Free ClassifiedsFree classified ads have basically lost their value because so many ad sites exist that most ads go unnoticed. If you have some spare time, trying your luck is not a bad idea. Since it’s free, all you are wasting is your time. Who knows, you might get a visitor! Press ReleasesThis can work well for you IF your press release is accepted by any major publisher. Your press release must be written properly. I'll write more on how to write a good press release in a future article. Resource BoxA resource box is a brief promotion at the end of an article. Ensure that the site you wish the readers to visit is related to your article. A resource box can get good traffic to your site, and it should be considered an important marketing option. Forum MarketingPosting wisely to forums can enhance your reputation, as more people will get to know and trust you. Most forums allow you to attache a signature to your posts. Generally, your signature consists of nothing but three to five lines of text, including a link to the site you are promoting. Forums are a good use of your marketing efforts as if the forum is on your niche topic, you can be sure that the visitors are interested in your niche. Used effectively, emails are inexpensive, and can deliver huge profits to on-line marketing campaigns. They can also be used to update the customers about your company or your product, or more often to strengthen the relationship between you and your subscribers. If you are not using email, you are losing out on many sales opportunities. Just remember - NO SPAMMING please. Google AdWordsFor targeted traffic, Google AdWords is a great option for any on-line entrepreneur. The only caveat is that the keywords being used must be relevant, and must be very closely related to the product that you are promoting. The cost forAdwordss can rapidly eat up your profits, so you must monitor your results carefully. Blog Title TagA blog is a must for every Adwords entrepreneur. An attractive title is a must if your blog is to get a good ranking in the search engines. Although the title plays a vital role, the actual post must be well-written and informative if your site is to attract quality traffic. Submit Your Blog to DirectoriesAlthough the submission of your blog to the many Adwords directories is a monotonous job, it goes a long way toward increasing your blog’s popularity. The more directories you submit your blog to, the better the results in the rankings. HubPage and SquidooBoth HubPages and Squidoo allow you to focus your posts on a specified topic. They also permit you to bring in RSS feeds to enhance your posts. Link Exchange PartnershipTrading links with another quality website in your niche can allow both parties to gain visitors. Joint VenturesYou can multiply the reach of your promotion by working with a partner with a related site. They promote your product or service, in return for a cut of the revenue, and at a later date, you do the same for them. You can exchange email promotions, website ads, or any of the other methods of promoting listed in this article. It would be great if you could find a partner with a list many times the size of yours, but you will most likely have to settle for someone with a similar sized list..You can of course have several jv partners for each promotion. P.S. Have you seen my new site Mr Idea's Ebookstore. As the name implies it is stocked with ebooks, scripts, websites and more. Recommendations for this WeekHave you checked out this new site that will give your website a link without requiring a reciprocal link? The search engines love this.
